The revolutionary Xanadome structure, is a tension structure of unsurpassable efficiency, which due to its unique shape is incredibly lightweight but also very strong. Xanadome is an innovative, elegant and economical multipurpose tension structure enabling clear spans of a kilometre and beyond.
Recognising the immense potential of the design concept invented by Ted Halford, a former director of Peter Dann, we partnered with Fraser Brown Mackenna, Vector Foiltec and project manager Dan Ptacek in setting up a new company, Xanadome Limited, to promote and develop the new structure.
Its structural efficiency enables much larger clear span structures than those seen to date. Erection has been simplified and avoids the need for extensive scaffolding, which is a significant cost of normal tents.
Almost any form of covering can be used for Xanadome. These may vary from the basic pvc type claddings through to the high tech etfe foil cushions which offer high insulation and excellent luminescence.
