Tented Structures
Xanadome is a new form of lightweight structure used for enclosing large spaces. Its structural efficiency enables much larger clear span lightweight structures than any other form of structure.
The simplified erection technique avoids the need for extensive scaffolding, which is a significant cost of normal tents.
Xanadome is flexible and versatile and combines a variety of arches and cables to produce a wide variety of shapes. Its uses include sports and leisure stadiums, covered shopping centres and the covering of streets and museums.
Dutch architect, Rem Koolhaaus, won the remodelling of the Los Angeles Museum of Art to provide a covered museum street using the Xanadome.
