Educational Projects
Our Cambridge Office base has naturally given us work with most of the Cambridge Colleges and University departments but our field of activity in the educational sector is country-wide and includes projects with Oxford and several other universities as well as many schools.
Clients benefit from our long experience of the special requirements associated with college and school buildings which include the need to meet the tight programme constraints of the academic year whilst providing high quality, low maintenance facilities.
We have designed most types of educational building from teaching blocks, sports halls and theatres to laboratories and residential buildings. Whether the project is a new building or a refurbishment, we seek to enable our client to occupy as much of the site as possible during construction by thoughtful and sympathetic design. Our wide experience of old forms of construction is particularly useful in foreseeing problems in refurbishments.
Close consultation with our clients from the early stages of development of design has always been considered of major importance in achieving a successful outcome with minimum disruption.
